At O&K Co., Ltd., we offer "water tank cleaning" services. According to the Water Supply Act, simple dedicated water supply systems (those that use only tap water as a source and have a usable capacity of the receiving tank exceeding 10m3) are required by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Ordinance No. 116 to "perform regular cleaning of the tank at least once every year" and other legal stipulations. *Since the fiscal year 2002, small-scale water supply systems (those that use only tap water as a source and have a usable capacity of the receiving tank of 10m3 or less) are also included. 【Water Supply and Simple Water Supply】 The water supplied by water service providers is subject to mandatory inspection under the Water Supply Act. 【Drinking Water Quality Inspection】 Specific buildings such as entertainment venues, stores, offices, and schools with a certain floor area must conduct drinking water quality inspections. 【Reuse Water Quality Inspection】 Water used for irrigation, landscaping, cleaning, and flushing toilets, which includes recycled wastewater, rainwater, treated sewage, and industrial water, is referred to as utility water. This utility water must be supplied with necessary sanitary measures in place. 【Water Tank Cleaning】 For water storage tanks with an effective capacity exceeding 10㎥, it is mandatory to conduct cleaning once a year and water quality inspections three times a year (once within six months × 2, and once for 12 disinfection by-products from June 1 to September 30).

The water storage tank is not a sealed structure due to the inflow and outflow of water, and it is constantly exposed to the outside air. This can lead to deterioration of water quality inside the tank due to rust, sediment accumulation, harmful substances and wastewater from cracks or poor maintenance of the tank, the growth of algae, and the intrusion of small animals. Therefore, we carried out the following tasks: drainage → cleaning → disinfection → rinsing → filling and inspection.
